Setting the Goal for the Day

If you have a challenge before you, as soon as you get up in the morning ask yourself:

What kind of day do I want? What do I want to come of this? What is it for?

“The clarification of the goal belongs at the beginning for it is this which will determine the

outcome. The value of deciding IN ADVANCE, what you want to happen is simply that you will

perceive any situation as a means to make it happen. You will therefore make every

effort to overlook what interferes with the accomplishment of your objective and

concentrate on everything that helps you meet it.”

If you have a difficult meeting, maybe a court date or a situation that might be stressful coming up, if you decide ahead of time that no matter what happens, you want to have inner peace as your goal, then no matter what happens your goal will prevail. Even if you don’t get your way and you “lose” if your goal was peace you will have it. In other words, you may lose but you will still be happy.
